I found this mini dress at the Salvation Army for -score- 2 bucks! Judging from the style and label, I'd approximate this dress to be from the late '80s to '90s. This A-line shirt dress has a U-neck, short sleeves and front button closure. The dress is a teal and white checker pattern with pink heart "tiles" all over it. What's even better is the buttons are white hearts - it's the little details that count. This dress is amazingly cute!

Day 27 of 57: I "heart" mini dresses!
So on day 27 of 57 Days of Dresses, Jason and I went to mÄmbu on Hayes St for an awesome dinner experience. The interior was eclectically gaudy, menu was crafted of fresh local artisan ingredients, the wine list was impressive, and the St. Germaine margarita was bad ass! What was also bad ass was my mini dress that I wore. After dinner, we went for a night time stroll around the block and came across this dirty little alley were we found the beveled glass window I'm posing in front of.

When you wear dresses every day...
What I've learned is that when you wear dresses every day, sometimes you just want to wear pants, or shorts, or even a skirt. Sometimes, you just want to wear a t-shirt and sweat pants and be a total slob! What I'm saying is I took a break, but I'm back, and I'll have today's dress up some time tonight!

day 26 of 57: Maxi love
On day 26 of 57 Days of Dresses we discovered LOVE on the side of the road. Well, really Jason and I see it every day on I-40W right past the 46th Ave exit. A building with a bright yellow side that says "Love" in big red letters.
Today's dress is a gorgeous vintage A-line maxi dress Jason got me at Fanny's House of Music/ Diamond Star Halo Vintage. It has a intricately detailed paisley pattern, 2 front pockets and a solid fucshia sash. The dress has a full-length front zipper, and large unstructured lapels. The short sleeves are cuffed and it has light shoulder pads for structure. I feel like a dancing queen when I wear this dress! What an amazing find.

day 25 of 57: At-home babydoll
On day 25 of 57 Days of Dresses, I had a long day of work, rummaging for wild feathers and crafting my latest feather clip (which I'm wearing in these pictures), so Jason and I didn't search out any exotic shoot locations. Instead, we stayed "on location" at our apartment. Yay!
Today's dress I got as a gift from Jason's mom, and It's a flowing, tiered babydoll dress. It's a light peach-cream color and it flaunts lace detailing at the tier hems. The dress is sleeveless, has a square neck and an empire waist with a ruched bust. The skirt is lined and fall somewhat above the knees. This dress dances in the wind when a zephyr breezes by, and its so comfortable! I love this dress!

Day 24 of 57: Mini dress a gogo
On day 24 of 57 Days of Dresses we were on our way home, and found this awesome graffiti on the side of some building off of Commerce in downtown. Needless to say, Jason and I took advantage of this awesome wall for a photo shoot.
This is a modified vintage '80s dress I got from Olivia Scibelli at a swap party I had at my house earlier this year. The dress is black with an awesome floral pattern on it, ruched sleeves and a gathered, lattice back. The dress features a beautiful off-the-shoulder decolletage and is lightly boned for a structured bodice. The dress has a back zipper. I'm wearing a petticoat to fill out the pleated skirt. The skirt's hemline has been modified to a mini, I'm not sure how long it was originally, but I had the raw edge hemmed up after I got it.

day 23 of 57: Night stalker in animal print
Today is day 23 of 57 Days of Dress! We tried some night time photography for this dress. Let's just say not every location's a winner, but that still shouldn't stop you from giving it a try, right? Lesson learned!
This cat print dress is my only Betsey Johnson piece. I really don't care for many of the styles, but I guess there's always an exception. This dress is also the only animal print dress I have. I'm always on the look out for an awesome zebra print dress, so if you see one, send it my way! It's a leopard print flared mini dress. It has solid black banding, exposed black stitching and a black back tie. The dress has a button front closure with leopard print buttons, a low scooped neck and scooped back. It's a fun little dress, and I don't wear it enough. These pictures really do it no justice!
