This is a wonderful Free People bodycon dress I got at Pangaea. One photo is how I wore it today with my "AWESOME" t-shirt over it, and the rest of the photos show off the dress as is. As you can see it's a simple U-neck tunic style bodycon -- means "body conscious" -- mini dress. The wonderful thing about this is the asymmetric side ruching that sends waving ripples across the fabric. Did I mention that pink dresses are amazing. Love!

day 20 of 57: River deep, mountain high and pretty in pink
So on day 20 of 57 Days of Dresses, we went to our most adventurous, sublime location ever! I was thinking how so many of the photos are taken in these urban sprawl sort of places, why not switch it up and get back to the serene beauty of nature?

day 9 of 57: Summer Sundress at the Farmers' Market
Today's day 9 of 57 Days of Dresses! Jason and I went to Nashville Farmers' Market this morning before he dropped me off at work. We got watermelon, blueberries and sourdough bread! It was a beautifully blush summer morning, and I felt that a summery sundress would be just the thing for a saunter down at the market!
I got this vintage sundress at Fanny's House of Music/ Diamond Star Halo Vintage. The best part about it is I had sundress just like this when I was a little girl (I'll post a photo of little girl me in that very dress later)! It has delicate spaghetti straps, a zipper back and a high waist. It's an A-line style and I love the floral pattern on it - makes me feel like I'm on vacation! It's a stylish and simple piece, and I can't wait to wear it again!

Day 7 of 57: The New Wave Nights
So, on day 7 of 57 Days of Dresses Jason and I went to the Psychedelic Furs show at the Cannery. The Furs played there Talk Talk Talk album, and then a second set of non-stop hits! It was new wave heaven, and I thought it'd be only fitting to pull out my best new wave dress in the closet.
This awesome dress is a vintage 1980's wiggle mini-dress I got at this Memphis boutique (the name of the place eludes me). It has bat sleeves (which isn't shown off very well in any of the photos, bummer), a hips-to-collar front zipper, 2 breast pockets, side pockets, and a matching belt! The top of the dress is loose and bouncy, while the skirt is form-fitting.
The Furs put on an awesome show, and Richard Butler is a dashingly handsome older man! I'm talking pretty Englishman in the echelons of David Bowie or Simon Le Bon. I'm happy we went, and I can't wait for Duran Duran to make their way to Nashville. Hopefully soon.

Day 5 of 57: Mint, Rosemary and my pretty white shirtdress!
On day 5 of 57 Days of Dresses, I was pulling up to Gojo for lunch, I decided to stop and smell the herb growing in the back of the building. An aromatic bush of Rosemary was thriving, with sprigs of spearmint shooting out here and there.
Also, check out the wonderful '80s dress I bought at the fab little vintage boutique in Memphis that I, sadly, cannot remember the name of. It's a white shirt-dress with a black paint splatter pattern on it. It has a high waist with belt loops and an open skirt. I love the black piping around the collar and lapel and the 3 big black buttons that go down to the waist.
